GREAT idea to have Han draw on Kylo to add real depth / complexity to the scene, while also reestablishing Han —
as he even says to Leia onscreen — going to what he did best.
*going back to what he did best, ie: living and acting as a scoundrel does, drawing first because your life’s on the line, asking questions later.
This would also help underscore one of the possible reasons why Han *wasn’t* able to reach Kylo: he didn’t believe Ben could be reached to begin with, that he had already lost his son, and would fire off a shot at the first sign of trouble. All the more tragic!
