Capsule: The Astrogator-class probe ship was a survey ship used by a number of exploratory and scientific organizations.
At 35 meters in length, Astrogator-class starships were flat-hulled and covered in sensor receptors. Three crewmembers would perform all the command and sensor maintenance functions. These ships were also surreptitiously called "flatfish," due to the ship's thin, wide profile. The underbelly was studded with sensors, scanners, antennae, and transceivers.
