The Cast of Charakters

The Protagonists

  • Tee and Ri were two female smugglers - they wanted to make a delivery on Ord Mantell but were double crossed by Risha Drayen and had their ship (the Khan, a modified Kazellis Light Freighter) stolen.
  • Leigh took a rest from her last bounty hunt and wanted to go from Ord Mantell to Nar Shaddaa.
  • Jess joined the team in episode 5 when everyone had been captured on the Subjugator. Someone very close to her had been captured with her, so as he died she took her revenge out on the arrogant captain who had captured her.
  • UrYōma, had long been searching for clues to the lost fragments of the Ur-Crystal, a cultural heritage of the UrRu that had been lost in space and time when he arrived on Tython. There he took Codi as his padawan. The young Twi'lek had been put on the trail of Kyra Danjapa, a Mirialan Jedi student, who seemed to have lost her mind when investigating an old holocron - she killed her master and stole the holocron. The trail of this renegade led them from Tython to Ord Mantell, but vanished there.
  • Avar Loag'darn joined the crew in episode 7 on Dromund Kaas.

Crew of the Khan

The Lost Heros

The Antagonists

  • Kyra Danjapa
Renegade Jedi who seems to have gone mad after "reading" one of the holocrons on Tython she killed her master, stole the holocron and fled the planet (prelude for Codi Ita). She has taken sides with Risha Dreyan and fled Coruscant with her on board the Khan (episode 2), the ship that Risha stole from Tee and Ri (prelude of Tee and Ri). On the Queen of Nal Hutta she hid away as a high class massage specialist and stole the precious family gem of Lady Qi'ellani Del'herrow under the cover of a distraction affected by Kyra (episode 3).
After Episode 3 she is on the run again and not to be found. The stolen gem turned out to be one of the Ur-Crystal shards that UrYōma is seeking.
  • Grandmoff Kilran
Imperial Navy, Commander of the Korriban (a Harrower Class Dreadnaught) that blockaded Ord Mantell and attacked the Esseles on which the characters tried to leave Ord Mantell. He had correctly suspected a repulic spy on board, but had not acted quickly enough to detain her before the characters could escape (episode 1).
He turned up again on the Queen of Nal Hutta, accompanied by the Lady Qi'ellani Del'herrow and the Sith Lord Jevan Cadav. He made it clear to the troupe that he was aware of them. He was last seen in the panicking crowd aboard the Queen (episode 3).
  • Lord Jevan Cadav
Sith-Lord, personal advisor of Grandmoff Kilran and probably Lord of the Sith Student that the characters encountered on board the Korriban (episode 1).
Shot down in episode 3 (by Kyra Danjapa?), but we probably haven't seen the last of him...
  • Lira Wessex
The daughter of Warren Blissex who sided with the Empire in order to step out of the shadow of her father. She vanished in a flock of stampeding droids when a thermal detonator went off and the corridor collapsed. Who knows if she survived episode 5.
  • Tarro Blood
The son of Alderaanian nobility, Tarro Blood renounced his privileged existence as the heir to a minor lordship in favor of pursuing greater glory and fame as a galaxy-renowned Mandalorian mercenary. Leaving his past behind and taking on a new dramatic moniker, Blood was able to prove that he was no pretender after years of training under a famed Mandalorian champion. Under the guidance of this exceptional tutor, Blood became a feared warrior and the favorite to claim victory in the next Great Hunt. Unfortunately for him, Tarro Blood’s characteristic arrogance and sudden rise to prominence rubbed his competition the wrong way. The other Mandalorians in the competition made it their mission to ensure that he never came close to claiming victory. The resulting defeat nearly cost Blood his life, in addition to his pride, and he remained out of the public eye for nearly a decade, choosing not to participate in the next Great Hunt.

The Extras

  • Aaren VanMeer
Fence and now contact and informant on Coruscant (first met in episode 2). He had originally worked for Risha Drayen & Kyra Danjapa, but could be persuaded to work for Tee & Ri instead.
  • Ambassador Asara
Female Twi'lek, working undercover for the SIS (Republic Strategic Intelligence Service) to support local movements against the Sith-Empire (first met in episode 1)
  • Crysta Markon
Female human contact and handler for Jess and Leigh to the Mandalorian Great Hunt on Domund Kaas.(met in episode 7)
  • Jenna Valentine
female human ex-librarian of the great library of the Jedi temple on Corsuscant (first met in episode 2)
  • Risha Drayen
An exceptional female smuggler in her early twentis, who hijacked the Khan, the spaceship owned by Tee (prelude for Tee and Ri). She seems to be bold and self confident.
She hacked a take-off block force barrier on Coruscant and took off together with Kyra Danjapa and several crates full of holocrons in the direction of Nar Shaddaa (episode 2), where she hacked the system of the luxury liner Queen of Nal Hutta to create a cover for Kyra (episode 3), but was caught.
After Epidoe 3 she switched sides, and aided the protagonists in return for claiming the legacy that was left to her, but after that legacy turned out to be useless to the owners of the Khan, she was ditched on Coruscant after Episode 6 and has not been seen again.
- known history:
Daughter of Nok Drayen, known as the infamous Black Baron, a space pirate of some repute who simply disappeared at the hight of his career about 10 years ago. He left Risha nothing except for a vague hint to find several clues to his legacy. She was following her own career as a criminal until she stumbled over his hints. Tracking down the clues brought her in contact with the heroes and after finding the legacy, left them again.
  • Senator Ahri Sega
male human Republic politician on Coruscant (met during episode 2)
  • Warren Blissex
Engineer & designer of the prototype of the star destroyers; also good with fiddling with all kinds of equipment. He is a complete computer illiterate and relied on the skills of his daughter Lira Wessex (→ Antagonists) for this purpose until he met the heroes on the Subjugator in episode 5. His daughter sided with the Empire, but may or may not met her death in an explosion on that ship. After the destruction of the Subjugator Warren was successfully escorted to a Mon Calamari cruiser into the arms of the Republic forces.

The Exchange (unkown)

One of the galaxy's most prominent crime syndicates, the Exchange is the sleek, tech-savvy competitor to the Hutt Cartel. Where the Hutt Cartel has a clear, centralized authority in Hutt Space, the Exchange is a distributed network of gangs coordinated via the HoloNet; where the Hutt Cartel favors galactic neutrality, the Exchange sees the Empire as an untapped resource ready to bleed credits and the Republic as a living shield protecting its gangsters from Imperial retaliation. Three centuries ago, the Exchange was arguably the most influential criminal organization in the Republic. However, an internal power struggle to claim the territory of the infamous Davik Kang after his death left the Exchange in disarray, allowing the Hutt Cartel to seize control over many of its operations. It took many decades before the "new breed" of Exchange criminals arose, and the current syndicate is a different animal than the old. Active in slicing, extortion, spice dealing and weapons running, the Exchange is rapidly reclaiming lost territory, taking advantage of riots, gang wars and other acts of blatant violence to gain ground even on Hutt worlds like Nar Shaddaa. But the Empire is swiftly becoming a greater adversary than the Hutts--the Exchange wants to be the first crime syndicate to make solid inroads into Imperial space and is willing to kill whoever it takes to get there.

The Black Sun (unkown)

Black Sun is a powerful crime syndicate that rose to prominence on Coruscant in the latter days of the war. Taking advantage of the chaos and rioting in the city after the planet's sacking, several gangsters joined forces and began seizing control of lower-city neighborhoods. The origin of the syndicate's name is unclear, but a common phrase among despairing Coruscant citizens was "better a black sun than none." Alas, hopes that Black Sun would bring order instead of anarchy died quickly. For Black Sun, the rioting and looting never really stopped. Although the gangsters have profitable spice- and weapons-trafficking operations, their members, almost to a man, have an extraordinary taste for violence. Civilians are extorted until they have nothing left to extort; afterwards, they're used for target practice. City blocks are incinerated for the pleasure of demolitionists. Despite the efforts of the Justicars' Brigade, Black Sun has become a force to be reckoned with. The Republic Senate has begun to realize the threat Black Sun represents, but with the syndicate's influence already beginning to stretch beyond Coruscant, stopping it may be impossible.

Mandalorians (respectful)

An interspecies warrior culture stretching back thousands of years, the Mandalorians live for one purpose: to challenge the greatest opponents in combat and claim victory, for honor and glory. The best are proud fighters driven by a noble code, while the worst are bloodthirsty killers always looking for the next battle. While many act as independent mercenaries, the Mandalorians are divided into clans each answering to their own leader. From time to time in history, a single leader of all clans appears and is called "Mandalore." Each new leader of the Mandalorians takes the name and mask of Mandalore and determines whether the clans will scatter or unite against a great foe. Initiates can be born into Mandalorian society or inducted from outside; either way, new Mandalorians face harsh trials as they prove themselves worthy and learn the secrets of Mandalorian weapons and armor. The Mandalorians have been loosely allied with the Sith Empire since the Empire's return to the galaxy and played an instrumental role in the Sacking of Coruscant. Though not Imperial subjects, the Mandalorians have an enclave in the Citadel on Dromund Kaas. Their relationship with the Empire is sometimes strained, but the alliance offers one undeniable advantage: ample opportunity to face the galaxy's greatest warriors, the Jedi.

The Revanites (unknown)

The secret society known as the Order of Revan is known only to its members and a few inquisitive outsiders. The society is believed to be several hundred strong, ranging from powerful and influential Sith Lords to military officers and alien slaves--low status is no barrier to entry, but personal power and fervor are everything. Some so-called Revanites devote their lives to the cult's teachings and exist outside of mainstream Imperial society; others study and meet in secret while maintaining ordinary lives. The Order of Revan takes its name from an ancient Sith Lord--a fallen Jedi who used both the dark side and the light side of the Force during his lifetime. Revan drew strength from passion, as well as tranquility; took allies who were human and alien, weak and strong. Revanites seek to emulate Revan's ways, seeing him as the greatest of all teachers.

The Chiss Ascendancy (unkown)

As the only true ally of the Sith Empire, the independent systems of the isolationist Chiss Ascendancy occupy a unique position within Imperial power structures. Mandalorians serve the Empire for wealth and conquered factions submit out of fear, but the Ascendancy aligned itself with the Empire for mutual benefit. The exact details of this agreement remain a mystery to all but the highest-level Imperials and Chiss, but it effectively renders the Ascendancy a vassal state--self-governed, but a source of resources and manpower for the Empire as a whole. The Chiss Ascendancy's internal governance mystifies most Imperials. The web of hierarchies and political influence networks that links the Chiss Ruling Houses is complex at best and impenetrable at worst, with political, family and military ties all playing a part in determining a person's role in the Ascendancy. Internal power plays are common, but always occur within the accepted boundaries of Chiss society--even at their most vicious, the Chiss always maintain order.

The Story So Far ...

Episode 1 - The Esseles Incident

or: Smugglers! in an Adventure with Jedi.

The Protagonists all discovered that Ord Mantell was being blockaded by the Empire who did not allow any republican trade ships to pass. So the only way off the planet was the Esseles, a Wanderer-class passenger transport named after the planet in the Essesia system, bound for Coruscant. The two smugglers wanted to find the thief who stole their ship, the two Jedi followed the trail of the renegade and to find information or rumors about the crystal shards, and for bounty hunter to simply leave the planet.

Unfortunately the spacecraft was attacked and stopped by the flagship of the blockade, a sith-battlecruiser named Korriban under the command of imperial Grandmoff Kilran, on grounds of a female Twi'lek spy being on board and an ultimatum was delivered to surrender her. As the captain of the Esseles had been killed in the first attack the second in command, the first officer Haken who had been elected to be the new captain performed a frantic search of the ship and shortly after ambassador Asara surrendered herself to the crew.

While the new captain was still thinking about how to proceed and the protagonists were thinking about how to escape and save the ambassador the Esseles was attacked by boarding vessels. After a short fight on the bridge the protagonists figured out a plan. They would pretend that the boarding droids had captured their mark and returned with her in order to sneak onto the enemy ship and disable their tractor beams and turbo lasers. All went well - including the crash they caused when landing on the enemy ship that whiped out the droid squad that awaited the prisoner.

A group of security guards that had acompanied them was left in the hangar with the ambassador to clear a shuttle for take-off. Sealing the side-corridors on their way to the technical center of the vessel the protaginists charged into the room. After the technicians had fled and all the doors were sealed Ri and Tee went on to take out the Tractor beams, but before they could disable the lasers, an attack droid had managed to cut his way through a heavy door. The group fled and could barely close the hangar bulkhead in front of the droids nose - but before them lay the security guards, dead, and Asara, unconcious at the feet of a Sith who slowly drew and activated his ominously red-glowing light saber. The Jedi and his Padawan knew immediately that this one was more powerful than them together. UrYōma and Codi Ita distracted the unknown Sith so that the others cound board the shuttle to finish the take-off preparations. They managed to surprise the Sith who was struck down after loosing his light sabre in this first contact.

After the return of the protagonists to the Esseles the ship managed to make the jump into hyperspace before the enemy ship could open fire and so they escaped...

Episode 2 - In the Heat of Coruscant

... where things start out easy and become complicated

After a 10 day flight on board the Esseles the protagonists arrived at Coruscant. They planned on going their individual ways when they were all invited to the Senate Building. Hoping to be rewarded for saving ambassador Asara they complied. While a small reward was indeed given, the Jedi UrYōma took the chance to see the Coruscant Jedi in the same building to learn more about their quests. They met Jenna Valentine the "librarian" of the Jedi temple, but she could not help because the whole library of the Coruscant Temple had been cleared out years ago.1) At the same time Lee (hired by Ri and Lee) had found some clues to the location of the stolen ship, but was interrupted by a call from the two smugglers:

When leaving the Senate Building they had encountered an unlikely pair. An unknown droid-type spoke to senator Ahri Sega, but in such a strange way that it could not be understood. It was speaking of black circles, yellow offset, black bisectors and other strangenesses, but eventually the troupe managed to make sense of it: the facilities at the bottom of Coruscant which had been built by the Gree were being sabotaged. Tee immediately volunteered to end the threat if the Senator would aggree to have the area where Lee had located her stolen ship locked down, so no craft from that port could leave the planet. The driod who presented itself as In-iK, Science-Unit gave them directions and a repair-unit that would mend the damage that had been detected.

The whole troupe went down to the deepest levels of Coruscant and found that the Gree-technology had actually been used by someone to reprogram the service units to do the sabotage themselves. In the control center they fought several war droids who were guarding a technician and managed to captured him. Unfortunately he was only overseeing the operation and had not done the programming himself, so Ri had to deactivat the service droids of the whole section and place the repair-unit. The technician was given over and everything else was left to the authorities as the troupe wanted to get to the location of the stolen ship as quickly as possible.

The hangar where Lee had located the ship was locked, so the troupe waited in the cantina on the other side of the street. When finally a techie approached and opened the hangar door, they forced their way in. Unforunately Risha Drayen had been in the hangar, within the stolen ship all the time, so that she now held the posse at bay with the laser turret of the ship while hacking the security system that kept the hangar force field closed (because of the take-off block that the senator had erected). But in the end the troupe was not quick enough so she could lower the force barrier and take off.

Rounding up the hangar, the protagonists met Aaren VanMeer the fence who had been safeguarding Risha's wares until today, who admitted that she had to leave some of her belongings here because of the haste required. He freely volunteered the 8 crates that she had left behind, which included stolen wares of Tee and Ri, two crates containing artworks from various worlds and one with several holocrons. He also admitted that Risha was bound for Nar Shaddaa to sell more of these "artifacts" and that she was accompanied by a female that fitted the description of Kyra Danjapa. The crate of holocrons was quickly reported to Jenna who came also with news of a vision that she had - that the mission of the two Jedis was closely connected to the one of the Tee and Ri. When asked for transportation to go to Nar Shaddaa, Jenna readily aggreed to volunteer a Jedi cruiser and a pilot to get the group to the place of her vision: a luxury liner bound for a round-cruise. She also aggreed to pay the fees of that cruise as well as offering a reward for the rescue of the priceless holocrons. To Ur-Joma Jenna gave a old holocron, whispering "You will find this useful in your travels. May the force guide you... always."

Notes
1) During an attack on Coruscant 10 years ago the Jedi Temple had been destroyed. The order relocated all of their facilites to Tython and and other worlds afterwards. This "Sacking of Coruscant" (in 3653 BBY) had ended the Great Galactic War with the Treaty of Coruscant. The last 10 years had been something of a Cold War between the remains of the Rebublic and the Sith Empire.

Episode 3 - Pleasure and Pain

...its getting tighter than it used to be

After a bit of shopping to dress the part as passengers on a luxury liner, the troupe left the republic capital heading for Nar Shaddaa, the starting point of the cruise. They were astonished by the sheer number of spaceships that were arriving, docking, being loaded and leaving busy moon of Nal Hutta, home of the Huts. Even an Imperial Dreadnaught was waiting in orbit of the space station where the Queen of Nal Hutta, the luxury liner was currently docked. Although the characters got a bit wobbly in the knees when they recignized the dreadnaught as the Korriban (see episode 1), nothing actually happened.

After finishing the official procedures, the pilot of the Jedi consular-class space cruiser

Consular-Class Space Cruiser

that had brought the group took off again, retreating to safer sectors. The five crossed the docks to get aboard, all dressed up in the best fashions that they had bought on Coruscant as their normal outfits would have stood out too much as being too "normal". The young Jedi Codi Ita was fitted out as a young rich aristocrate from Ryloth with the rest of the group as entourage. Soon after they moved into their suite onboard, the Queen slipped into hyperspace.

After a week of unsuccessful undercover legwork, hacking and researching, and being distracted by the multitude of recreational services that the Queen offered, the team was invited to one of the VIP-platforms, surprisingly meeting an old "acquaintance". Greeting them was Grandmoff Kilran in company of a mid-40s human woman, who was introduced as Lady Qi'ellani Del'herrow, and a creepy sith lord named Jevan Cadav who were all having a drink with a Hutt, introduced as Durga, the owner of the Queen of Nal Hutta. Kilran greeted the team with courtesy, but showed that he knew who the team was and what they had done and that he was watching them. Durga especially seemed to enjoy the show, especially the looks between the Sith and the Jedi but made it more than clear that none should even try to hurt anybody aboard his ship. The conversation was cut short when UrYōma suddenly fell unconcious, overpowered by the feeling that a jewel around Qi'ellanis neck was one of the missing shards of the Ur-Crystal. The team quickly bid their farewell after UrYōma came back to his senses a few moments later.

Researching the necklace later, they found that it is named "The Dark Eye of Sejhel"

The Dark Eye of Sejhel

and it had been in the posession of the Del'herrow family for ages. Legend says the jewel protects his owners by bringing bad luck to all who oppose them. They also found that they currently had no options to approach this problem in any sesible manner an UrYōma did not push the subject.

Two days later the Queen took a stop in the Asuba-3 system at an orbital space station to take on new supplies and guests. Taking a good look at the new arrivals they finally found Kyra among the service people that came on board. Hacking a terminal they found her record under a cover identity - a high class massaging specialist in the recreation area. But Risha was nowhere to be found. The group planned to confront Kyra but while still planning and keeping an eye on the Grandmoff and his entourage, suddenly things took a completely different turn. The lights systems shut down and after a few seconds the holo systems showed the image of an man that greeted passengers and crew alike: "Good evening Ladys and Gentlemen, I am the Black Baron. Keep calm for your life is not in danger. Keep your wealths ready. This is a robbery. Thank you for your patience."

In the following chaos Kyra Danjapa managed to snatch the Dark Eye of Sejhel before the group could even get near it and fled for the hangar where her partner Risha Drayen had landed and was lying in wait for her in disguise. Unfortunately Ri and Lee found out about this and took Risha by surprise, replacing her to lay a trap for the approaching Kyra. Unfortunately Kyra somehow smelled the trap and made a close escape despite being trapped between Ri and Lee waiting for her and her chasers Lee, UrYōma and Codi. The group even managed to get the stolen necklace, but had to realize that the central crystal had already been removed by Kyra. But at least they had Risha together with the Khan (a Kazellis Light Freighter that now included a few modifications) that she had stolen from Lee and Ri (prelude of Lee and Ri) with which the group made their own escape from the well armed Queen of Nal Hutta.

On their way back to Nar Shaddaa the troupe managed to uncover Risha's story through her diary that they found aboard the Khan and by questioning her:

The Black Baron, an infamous pirate, who had disappeared about 10 years ago, was actually called Nok Drayen and had fallen mortally ill with Malastaric Yellow Fever which was a very rare and equally deadly disease. He had his body frozen in carbonite to outlive his death and had it placed in a hidden cargo compartment of the Khan, his old pirate ship. He had also left his then 12 year old daughter Risha holomessage that stated that she should follow his steps to find his "legacy" and had included clues proper for a lost pirate treasure. First of all Rish's necklace held part of a map to a certain region of space that has not been explored yet. The map showed the general layout of the Unknown Regions beyond the Ansion-system. The necklace that had contained the Dark Eye of Sejhel was the second part of the map, together pointing to an unknown system that contained a secret hideout where an old Gonk-droid (an old version of the popular EG-6 Power Droid) would hold a special circuit board. That circuit board with a chip that Nok had on his frozen body would then chart out the way to his legacy.

Tee, Ri and Lee cut a deal with Risha. She only wanted the "legacy" part, a good share of the valuables or treasures would go to the ship holders for the transport and for help on the way - while the Jedi simply decided to come along to help Risha find her legacy. As there was still a crate of holocrons on the ship the Jedi decided it would be best to return these to Tython first and try to find a healer for the illness of Nok Drayen in order to rescue him for his daughter. A healer was found and Nok was defrosted in his presence, but it all turned out to naught. Nok died of the disease just a few minutes after he awakend, too weak to survive the shock of revival and the illness, but at least had a chance to talk to his daughter.

Now in possession of all available clues for the first part of the "legacy run", Risha and the heroes embarked for the Unknown ...

Episode 4 - The Abandoned Asteroid

Legacy Run - WTF!!!!!
Asteroids

The heroes followed the map that was hidden by the two necklaces deep into the Unknown Regions.

They travelled for weeks through hyperspace, while the young Jedi padawan Codi Ita was being trained by UrYōma and Risha kept mostly to herself, generally understanding the mistrust and hate by Ri and Tee. Finally they arrived in an dark and empty system - empty? The scammers registered a large asteroid field after a quick adjustment, but the initial enthusiasm of the group was smothered as they realized that it would need days or weeks to search the full area in detail - they did not have a clue as to what exactly they were looking for. Then, after a few days of uneventful searching, the ship suddenly shivered as it was hit and captured by a green tractor beam that dragged it towards the deep shadows of a large, cratered asteroid. Slowly a hidden bulkhead opened. No lighting beyond, just a deep pit of utter blackness, that even the ship's floodlights could barely pierce. A bad feeling grew in the stomachs of our protagonists, but the tractor beam safely moved the ship through the narrow tunnel that was barely wide enough to let the Khan through - finally the beam ceased when the ship entered a great cavern and a pressure door closed behind it. The bright beams of the exterior lights the group caught strange objects covered in sheets. After few seconds the shapes appeared on the sensor screen. The computer searched its memory banks looking for matches. One by one, familiar shapes lined up at the side of the screen, but the hangar bay remained dark and without atmosphere.

ASP-7 Worker Droid

What the group had in front of them was a dark, creepy, but empty asteroid station, devoid of life, air and energy - except for some emergency power that could bring a or two terminal back to life, a flock of hungry mynocks attacking everything that even contained a tiny bit of energy, and a number of old ASP-7 Worker Droids that had been fitted with blasters, but not with programming to use them effectively. Unfortunately when they tried to reactivate the main power plant to shed some light on their search for the Gonk droid with the circuit board they were looking for, it malfunctioned showering Lee with an unhealthy dose of radiation - they also found the local med-bay, but could not activate the med-droid and Kolto tank without additional power.

The search continued until they came into the station's main control room from which they managed to activate the backup power plant. The bright light flooding the room also revealed a dozen armed ASPs flanking an odd-looking one dressed in a black hooded cloak. Odd little sparks buzzed and crackled between its metallic fingers. Two glowing eyes stared at them menacingly from the dark shadow beneath the hood. It introduced itself as "Naga Sadow, greatest Sith Lord ever, for he defeated death in his mechanical suit". As the strange creature raised its crackling hands, the heroes dove for cover, but Lee, never impressed by speech pulled a thermal detonator and made a perfect throw. Seconds later the Sith and his mechanical bodyguards were gone and the protagonists took a deep breath.

There had been many odd things about this abandoned asteroid base, but here was even another: on the far side of the control room, half in shadow, Mara Ri spotted a pair of stubby little tracked astromech feet, a utility closet door concealing its body. This droid proved to be the ultimate pain - paranoid, quirky, troublesome, destructive, and worst of all: a thief and scavenger. It put up quite a fight before it was caught and the missing circuit board was found in one of it's storage compartments. Afterwards rounding up the bases had been quickly accomplished. It seemed that it had been abandoned a good score of years ago by a number of pirates that left the traps that the group had encountered, their story told by a lonely datapad that had been left behind. In the end there was nothing left than to salvage the place: an ancient Sithsabre, the med-droid from the med-bay and the brain-wiped little astromech, plus a few spare parts for repairs.

Episode 5 - Mandalorian Honeymoon

Prisoners!!!!!

Searching for the legendary treasure of the Black Baron the heros venture deeper into the Unknown Regions. Their travel was interrupted by an emergency call but as they left hyperspace they were faced with a huge starship. Mandalorians....

Before they could even try to jump back into hyperspace, the Khan trembled under the strong tractorbeam that had already taken a hold and was pulling them in. The crew quickly hid any valuables and equipment before they were taken prisoner. Brought to the imprisonment block of the huge starship, they were waiting for their cators to interrogate them. There were two other inmates waiting for their fate: A man with severe burn wounds and a unconcious woman...

After waking the unconcious woman, who called herself Jess (see → Protagonists), an earbattering explosion shook the giant starship. The prisoners were thrown to the ground as more explosions brutally tossed the ship around. Somewhere near they heared the awful sound of ripping durasteel and the rush of escaping atmoshere - the alarm bathed everything in dark red and the floor itself started to twist ... Not time to loose! The few guards that were left in the block were quickly overwhelmed, but not without difficulties. At least the troupe discovered and freed yet another prisoner. The older man called himself Warren Blissex, the architekt of the ship. The group decided to help Blissex with his plan of causing the ship to self-destruct. He didn't want to build a warship and wanted his work destroyed rather than living with the knowledge what it would be used for.

They first had to get to the main power station to initiate the self-destruct sequesnce, make a slight detour to the officer's quarters to get Jess' equipment and the reach the hangar and free the Khan. It seemed they were lucky - no guards or technicians crossed their way - but then they could intercept an internal message at a terminal: The self destruct sequence had already begun. It had been set to three hours in order to lay out a trap for the attackers of the mighty, but heavily damaged Subjugator - a change of plans was necessary. Change the self destruct time to about one hour, place an internal evacuation message to save the many people that were still aboard and not informed of the plan, and inform the enemy ships of the trap (Ur-Yōma did not want to let so many lives go to waste for a tactical move in the cold war between Empire and Republic). The protagonists moved on, all according to plan, but as they reached a crossing in the big supply tunnel they were using, they heared the speakers come to life: Captain Kolaff mocked the heroes and told them he would provide them a lesson thereby proving that they were not good enough to earn their freedoom. His first task was to "neutralize a crossfire-position"

The characters escaped the trap (attackers from front, back and two blaster cannons on the side tunnels), and moved on. The overconfident captain's second challenge was what he called "rough-up". The attacking troups were successfully roughed up by the entourage and they made it to the power stationafter escaping some more calamities. Unfotunately the technicians at the station were thoroughly uncooperative and sounded the alarm, the self destruct sequence had been locked down and could not be changed (Blissex noted that the only person who could have done this was his own daughter...) and so Kolaff's third lesson was annonced as "how to die in battle". The resourceful group followed this like a badly worded command and jumped seemingly to their doom into the depths of the power shaft ... which they had manipulated to generate a repulsor field to catch them at the next lower level.

Hurrying to the officer's quarters and then to the hangar, the group encountered astampede of droids, some more troups, desperately defending their sections and even a unit of 0-G troopers, but they came out comparatively unscathed and only slightly wounded, until a zurbolaser dropped out of the ceiling. The group was only saved by a mighty effort of Codi whose sudden burst of telecinetic power reppid the gun from the wall altogether. But all was not iver yet. The hangar that they arrived in was one level above where their ship was, filled with smoke and hidden troups and Kolaff himself was approaching on an elevator platform in a combat walker. Fortunately Mara's computer skills to activate the enviornment control to get rid of the smoke, Jess' and Lee's skill at the blaster and Tie initiative of taking over one of the combat walkers in the hangar quickly disposed of the troops. And when Kolaff's walker triumphed over the unexperienced Tee, UrYōma called upon every reserve of will to lift the walker and drop it on it's side. Kolaff was killed by Jess even before anyone could react and all other troups fled so that the heroes could escape to their ship and were able to warn the crew of the Subjugator and the opponent ships alike of the impending explosion.

Episode 6 - The Legacy

The End is only a new Beginning...

After finishing the repairs from the explosion in the hangar of the republic flagship the heros left the fleet by being honoured by Captain Torrie and his commanding crew. Warren Blissex surprised the protagonists with a little high-tech present for each of them: Small upgrades to some of their equipment which could be useful in the future.

So they left the hangar, re-setting their route to their destination, deep in the Unknown Regions, accellerating into hyperspace for a long trip...

Time passed without much disturbances, playing Sabacc and training skills. Jumping from waypoint to waypoint, calculating the new route deeper and deeper into the unknown regions. Finally they found a huge cemetery of old ships with thousands of starships, transports and fighters, slowly drifting through empty space - carefully navigating through the ancient wrecks of long forgotten civilisations to find the signal they were looking for. At last they entered a huge, nearly collapsing hulk of unknown origin or design. They found serveral dead pirates, shot in the back, and after solving some energy problems, found and opened a well hidden safe.

But surprise, no riches... All that was inside were some papers, pictures and a holovid for Risha, explaining who she really was. As they found out, Risha is the last living heir of a king on a small colony. After the invasion of the sith-empire, her parents had sent her away with her father's best friend away, who had raised her.

The heros left the wreck empty handed to beginn the long journey home. Risha asked the crew, if she could stay, paying her debt to them by helping them out onboard. But Mara and Tee could not forgive her. When the party finally arrived back on Coruscant, Risha left the heros to find her own way with nearly nothing in hand.

Episode 7 - The Great Hunt

behind enemy lines

(( videos are taken from the MMORPG Star Wars - The Old Republic, they are in German ))

In the evening the heros met at the Dealer's Den Cantina in Coruscant's Old Galactic Market District

where they get a message from an old contact, ambassador Asara (previously met in Ep.1). She had a delicate mission for our heros. One of her best friends, an SIS-Agent named Avar Loag'darn, was in great danger, his identity nearly uncovered. The SIS had not the possibility to get to his aid without taking the risk a new war for he was sitting on Dromund Kaas, the home world of the Sith-Empire. Silence was the answer. Most of the heros calling her nuts in their minds, but then UrYōma agreed to help. He remembered having a vision of this situation connecting it with the lost crystal shards of his people. The two smugglers were given a cargo of medical equipment to deliver but the highest wages were for the two bountyhunters Leigh and Jess, for they got an invitation for participating in the Great Hunt, as a wildcard for the last free place. So all agreed and after some preparation startet to Dromund Kaas into the heart of the Empire. After landing on ramp 25-C of the imperial Starport of Kaas-City the crew accidently met Avar, who worked at the starport to tilt the loads of the incoming transports. They quickly arranged a meeting in the Nexus-cantina that very evening to discuss further plans.

Meanwhile Jess and Leigh took a taxi to the Mandalorian Outpost which was right next to the Citadel, the seat of the Sithcouncil and home of the Emporer himself. There they were informed that a large number of other hunters had arrived for the competition and had procured sponsorship; far too many, in fact, for the Hunt. After being assigned a handler by the name of Crysta, the Bounty Hunter is informed that each potential entrant must carry out three high-profile bounties on Dromund Kaas, as a means of thinning the herd of potentials. Afterward, the remaining elite bounty hunters will compete in a grand melee to determine the winner of the last entry into the Hunt.

First Bounty (video link)

With the new task at hand they reunite at the Khan to plan the rescue. So the first bounty was to track down a Republic noble that somehow got sold as a slave on Dromund Kaas and is now stuck in the middle of a slave riot. His family would like him returned, preferably alive but hey, slave riot, so a corpse to send back will also pay some too. That seems kinda chaotic. But that’s not all! Once they found the camp, he was not there! It turns out that he once had a fling with an Imperial noble, who has found out that he is a slave on the planet and had arranged for an escape. Taking a closer look at the riot, the heros watched some slaves using the force, torturing the nobles, now slaves themselves, with force lightning. Carefully they retreat from the place to safety after they found a holo in the ramparts of the remaining slavetents.

The two lovers are now posing as brother and sister and hanging out in Kaas City at a Cantina. Well, time to go break up that date. So the two Bountyhunters left for the Nexus Cantina in Kaas City to catch their first bounty. The second bounty was a bit more straight forward if not a bit more depressing. A big to-do officer in the Imperial Navy has a daughter who is a Sith. They are all very proud. But lately her master got insane and rebelled against the Dark Council.

That’s the next bounty. Kill the daughter before anyone can find out they’re related and potentially cost him his job and his life for siring a kid who got picked by an insane Sith Lord. Great. But how to get her? Her master lives in a fortress, feeding his paranoia. Researching the holonet and using their connections to the Spaceport, they set up a trap. Using the greed of her master for lost artifacts they got her to the spaceport and caught her in carbonite. By returning her alive her father expresses the deep regrets he was having about essentially sending an assassin after his daughter. That family is more important to him than his career. Confirming the second Bounty he paid a bonus to the two Hunters who left his office afterwardsreturning to Crysta for further instructions.

Third Bounty (video link)

By now Crysta Markon, the Bounty Hunter's 'handler' for the Great Hunt, had a hunch that the assignments that the two were handed out were fixed. They were far too deadly and difficult for standard assignments in the situation. Jess and Leigh still wanted to go on and reach their goal: participation in the Great Hunt. The designated target once again brought them deep into the jungle surrounding Kaas City and the "excavation site" that Captain Medle had pointed out was practically crackling of Dark Side energy. Dried husks of dead archeologists littered the grounds and living ones were stalking the area with eyes blazing in unholy light. Entering the large temple structure that had actually been a tomb for many an ancient Sith Lord, the group found that the souls of the dead were running wild and had taken possession of various people on the site, subjugating the rest to their will and trying to establish what looked like little kingdoms.

The target, Commander Gargun had himself fallen prey to one of the spirits. He was very quickly dispatched by a well aimed shot from Avar and his name tag was recovered as had been the instruction. Unfortunately UrYōma also sensed that the sarcophagus of that Sith Lord, Aloysius Kallig, also contained one of the force-crystal shards that he so desperately searches for. But the spirit of the dead Sith was too powerful. In the end Mara had to stike a deal with the spirit, get an ancient sword from another tomb and exchange it for the crystal shard in order to save the old UrRu mystic.

Episode 8 - On the Run

Consequence and Decision

The decision was made, looking at all clues and loose ends to first follow up on the Nar Shaddaa lead of the two bountyhunters and Avar decided to stay onboard to help the crew in their coming endeavors. they started a two-week flight, in which our two Jedi were able to get in touch with the holocron they got from Jenna Valentine in Episode 2.

The holocron is holding 3 masters. 2 of them turning their back on our heros, telling them that they are not ready. The Third, a mid-aged human woman looked at them and said:

"I've waited for you a long time. The balance between light and dark is endangered. And it will be you who will decide the future of jedi and sith alike. I am Aleria Sur-Pelin. You may not know me, but I know you. I am here to prepare you, to teach you and to guide you. If you are to decide what you are chosen for, you have to learn about the history of jedi and sith, understand them and their nature. Your task is one of great responsibility." She teached them hours after hours about the history of the jedi to the very beginning and the first fall, the first fallen jedi. And after a week of meditation she introduced another jedi, letting him tell his story.

"If you are hearing this, I am either dead or in hiding. Do not seek me out, never say anything I mention in this, never forget my warnings. I will know, and you will regret it. But let me introduce myself. I am Titius, Hunter of the Empire, Bane of the Sith, Slayer of the Empress, Angel of Vengeance. To make it more... simple, I was once a very powerful and feard Sith Assassin. I was dangerous beyond anyone's wildest dreams. But now I am known as Sorel, Redeemer of the Force. They are not lovely titles, but they are mine. I do not hate it, nor do I love it. It is. I will tell you, what is means to be a Sith, how it feels and how you will become one. I will tell you the story of my past."

And he told them. Told them about his apprenticeship and how sith were trained, about treachery and feelings, endurance and unbreakable will, finishing with the Qotsisajak, the Code of the Sith:

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.

Through passion, I gain strength.

Through strength, I gain power.

Through power, I gain victory.

Through victory, my chains are broken.

The Force shall free me.

At last they arrived and the two bounty hunters got more information from their contact: the target would be an assassin called Eidolon and one of the few people to be able to help them would be a Twi'lek called Gele'ren. It quickly turned out that Eidolon was a secluse who no one had ever seen (or at least not survived to tell the tale) and had retired to now lead a big security company on the moon - Eidolon Security. To lure him out of hiding, the group blew up an ammunition factory belonging to his security firm. But everything has it's price. Eidolon Securities main customer for the blown up Ammunition was the Republic Military. Ammunition which could now leave the troops of the Republic short of supplies.

With a hint from an informant, Jess found out that the other team from the great hunt was a group of four Ugnaughts building a massive assault walker. But the Videk Clan, as the Ugnauts called themselves, were interrupted by the crew before they could finish their work and officially gave up the Great Hunt. Unfortunately at the same time Eidolon chose to strike and took UrYōma, Ri and Codi hostage. After a few tricks and a short fight the group won after all and the hunt was declared a success.
