Description: Recording rods are small, cylindrical data storage devices. Generally, recording rods are 30 centimeters long. These devices are re-usable, though recording over existing data deletes the older information in favor of the new. Recording rods — like most items commercially available in the galaxy — come in a variety of types. Lower-priced models allow audio recording only, while others can store audio, visual and holographic information.
