thedemonapostle here. just went and updated the ship weapon damages, cargo and passenger ratings. kinda sucks doing conversions when you dont have all that you need. so basically for the initial conversion i used every babylon 5 rpg book i could find. which sadly wasnt every book i needed. the basics were just fine but for a few things, namely the cargo, passengers and weapon damages. for one i was using the second edition books. it listed cargo as vehicle size class (medium, large, gargantuan, colossal, etc) and then listed the number of units the structure has dedicated to cargo; example: huge, 15 cargo. in all of the books it never really explained what these numbers represent. so i went through and found the 2st edition books and listed those cargo ratings after a slight conversion to the metric system; example 194,000 pounds = 87.996 metric tons rounded to 88 metric tons. yeah so basically i went and just listed that a mile long ship could only carry 88 metric tons of cargo. the same kind of thing that was done for cargo was done for passengers. i i guessed and guessed badly, sorry. the weapons i had a real issue with when i first started writing up the conversion for babylon 5. i had nothing to compare it to. damage was listed as medium laser, range long, damage 20+1D4. so ranges were kinda just thrown together. but damage was more wonky. because a twin linked medium laser would do 30+1D6 damage. i needed an explanation for many of the weapons. and after months of looking in my free time i finally found the book that explained it all. only one book makes a reference to this book and it only does so in passing once and no other times. fyi, i spent money to download this book, hope you enjoy its contributions. this book filled in the gaps, explained what all the weapons did and any special notes and what twin triple and quad linked weapons did. it also filled in what cargo and passenger space was on every ship. so after doing a quick conversion (a week) i checked it against what i already had and saw that it worked better.
