please do not put category links on the bottoms of the pages. it was one of the things that prompted BSDOblivion to move the site originally from the wikipedia/wikia sites Thedemonapostle (talk) 14:10, 6 November 2012 (CST)

  • Okay, I understand not wanting categories like "Space Transports" or "Galactic Empire starship classes", especially when we have a different type of organizational method in the sidebar menus. But if we're not allowed to use the standard wiki convention of categorizing articles, we need to have a different way of segregating official stats from unofficial stats. Preferably by both the menus and by something at the top of the article page (an icon or the like) that makes it instantly recognizable as "homebrew". On a secondary note, I've looked around the site for a Manual of Style, Layout Guide, formatting tips, etc. and have found none. If there are rules on how to create articles (which there should be), then they need to be posted somewhere so that people don't waste their time working on things that are just going to get thrown in the trash. It's discouraging and frustrating for users to go out of their way to help build and edit the wiki, only to have that work reverted because of a secret rule.--Matthias777 (talk) 16:17, 6 November 2012 (CST)

question/answer

for a quicker up to date question and answer session, please visit the facebook page here. the issue of the source for the varying articles has been brought up in the past and as this is an all volunteer staff, myself included, we are getting to it as soon as we can. if youll notice that some of the articles do have their source listed somewhere in them. others we dont know the source and finding where it came from can be a hassle. <br\ >-regarding the general style of everything: its usually up to the individual(s) that uploaded the data. granted some articles might have been corrupted during one of the many mass data transfers from site to site and server to server. still working on seeing what is good and whats messed up. <br\ >there are only 2 administrators that i know of, myself and Vader.<br\ >if youd like help figuring out the encoding please feel free to ask. we dont try to delete anyone's stuff unless its a duplicate, though we might go in and make it easier to read through, ie clean it up. but if ya dont want that just let us know.<br\ >-Thedemonapostle
