"Our shields can't take much more of this, sir." ―Kevin Marks
The Lantean pulse weapons are ship-to-ship weapons, several of which are installed on their powerful Aurora-class battleships. The weapons are very similar to earlier Destiny pulse weapons.
The Lantean pulse weapon was a weapon the Lanteans used onboard their Aurora-class battleships, along with drone weapons. It fired bright yellow bolts that were capable of destroying a shielded Traveler generational ship or heavily damaging a Wraith Hive ship with several shots. The pulse weapons are however much less effective against the advanced Asgard shields of the Daedalus-class vessels.

"I will need the weapon back once your work here is completed. It is, after all, only on loan to you, temporarily." ―Kvasir
Ion guns were the primary weapons used by vessels of the Asgard fleet.
Asgard weapons are significantly superior to the weapons of most other races in the Stargate Universe. The Energy Weapons of a single, aging Biliskner Class ship were capable of destroying several Goauld Hatak Motherships. These weapons were rendered less effective following the upgrades that Anubis installed onto his Ships (Anubis had acquired the knowledge to modify the Shields and weapons of his Ships as a result of the knowledge he had gained following his Ascension). However, the weapons and shields of the more advanced Asgard O'Neill-class ships were far superior to that of any Goauld Ship. These weapons were effectively utilized against Replicator ships of the Milky Way Galaxy. Four Ori warships proved capable of withstanding weapons fire from a single Asgard O'Neill-class ship at the Battle_of_P3Y-229.
Game Notes:
- These weapons do not cause ionization damage.

"...the Apollo and the Daedalus have been retrofitted with the new Asgard plasma beam weapon which—given—are very, very powerful..."
-Rodney McKay
Plasma beam weapons are a highly-effective ship-based weapon system developed by the Asgard just prior to their extinction in 2007 and gifted to the Tau'ri as part of their legacy. They are among the most advanced ship-based weapons known to exist.
"At least we now have weapons we know will destroy an Ori ship."
―Cameron Mitchell
Unlike most ship-based energy weapon systems, which are designed to fire individual pulses of energy, the Asgard plasma beam is a narrow, high-intensity beam of superheated plasma. These beams are capable of overloading and penetrating even the most advanced shields and burning through the hulls and internal structures of an enemy vessel with comparative ease, causing heavy damage; if the beam hits a critical area the target can be destroyed in only two to three shots. This incredible ship-to-ship weapon might be one of the most powerful and efficient ever encountered.
In terms of effectiveness, Asgard plasma beam weapons are among the only known weapons capable of penetrating the shields of Ori warships, being able to destroy such vessels in 5 to 6 hits (the shields begin to fluctuate after 2 hits, indicating that they are being drained, and fail after 3-4 hits, with the ship itself then sustaining crippling damage). For reference, pulse weapon fire from an entire fleet of ships (including ten Ha'taks of the Free Jaffa Aliance, three Ha'taks of the Lucian Alliance, two Tauri BC-304s, and an Asgard O'Neill-class ship) were unable to penetrate Ori warship shields. These weapons have also proven exceedingly effective at destroying unshielded Asuran Aurora-class battleships in two hits, and Wraith Hive ships in three hits. The power of these weapons furthermore appears to be adjustable; Two shots from a BC-304 were used to incapacitate a Wraith cruiser without destroying it.

Plasma Cannons are powerful energy weapons used by the Goa'uld. Apparently derived from the same mechanics behind the staff weapon, cannons provide higher discharges and are primarily ship-based weapons, mounted on Ha'taks, Al'kesh, and Death Gliders. Samantha Carter was able to rig a staff cannon from a downed glider to be used as a portable weapon by Teal'c for part of the series. He used it to kill his enemy Tanith by shooting down his Al'kesh, but was trapped in the Stargate as a result for a period of time. While on a raid to Ba'al's outpost, Carter herself used a staff cannon from a defunct glider to save her teammates and shoot down an attacking glider. A Teal'c from an alternate reality was shown to be armed with one of these staff cannons when he came to the main reality.
Staff cannons have little or no effect on advanced shields, such as those on Asgard and Ori ships, even during a prolonged bombardment. Ori built structures, such as the Supergate also suffered no damage from the combined attack of no less than 13 hataks shooting it for an unknown amount (presumed hours) of time.
Ori Pulse Cannon
Name | Type | Scale | Space Range | Atmosphere Range | Damage |
Type I Pulse Cannon | Energy Pulse Weapon | Starighter | 1-5/13/25 | 10-500/1,300/2,500m | 3D+2 |
Type II Pulse Cannon | Energy Pulse Weapon | Starighter | 1-5/13/25 | 10-500/1,300/2,500m | 6D+1 |
Type III Pulse Cannon | Energy Pulse Weapon | Capital | 1-10/25/50 | 2-20/50/100km | 4D+2 |
Type IV Pulse Cannon | Energy Pulse Weapon | Capital | 1-10/25/50 | 2-20/50/100km | 8D+2 |
These pulse weapons are ship-based emplacements on board the Ori warships. They are less powerful than the main cannon of the ships, though they are still easily capable of inflicting considerable damage on enemy starships, for example, depleting the shields of a Ha´Tak upgraded by Anubis in 12 shots and the Ha´Tak itself in only 6 shots, making the force of these weapons double the force of the upgraded Staff Cannons of the Anubis Ha´Tak. The weapons are situated throughout the mothership, which makes it possible for them to fire at enemy ships even if they maneuver behind the Ori vessel to avoid the main cannon.
Ori Beam Cannon
Name | Type | Scale | Space Range | Atmosphere Range | Damage |
Beam Cannon | Energy Weapon | Capital | 1-15/38/75 | 2-30/76/150km | 14D |
The central beam weapon of an Ori warship was an extremely powerful weapon that discharged fiery blasts from a central dish located at the front of the vessel. The beam fired by this weapon was capable of destroying a Ha'tak with a single strike, piercing its shield and ripping through the vessel while still retaining some power. The Ha'taks were completely useless against Ori warships; fleets of them could barely even slow down a single Ori Ship. The Asgard shields on Daedalus-class vessels were far more resistant to the weapon's blasts (due to their far superior technology), but multiple strikes would deplete the shield and eventually destroy the vessel (the Tau'ri were later gifted with even more powerful shields of Asgard design but they were shown to be drained rapidly by the beam as well). The beam weapon usually took a few seconds between firings to recharge.
During the Ori crusade, this beam weapon was arguably the most powerful ship-mounted energy weapon ever encountered until the development of the Asgard plasma beam weapon, which proved to be equal to the Ori beam weapon in effectiveness.
The only known downside of the Ori beam weapon was that it caused the shields of an Ori warship to fluctuate whenever it was fired, allowing external Transportation rings to connect to the Transportation rings aboard an Ori warship and vice versa.
Like the power crystal from an Ori staff weapon, the beam can be used to power other technology. However, for this to work, it must strike the ship with the technology on it, destroying the ship but channeling the energy through the ship's power conduits to the technology. This was used to power a reverse time field with the time dilation device in the Asgard computer core to reverse the 50 or so years SG-1 and Major General Henry Landry were trapped on the Odyssey.

Wraith energy weapons are energy weapons used by the vessels of the Wraith fleet. Wraith Darts possess single-fire weapons at the front of their ships, which, if well placed, can destroy an unshielded Puddle Jumper with two shots. The energy weapons on Hive ships are much more powerful, capable of depleting the Asgard shield of a Daedalus-class vessel in twenty minutes. These weapons are not a sustained beam like those on Ori warships or Asgard plasma weapons, instead firing in short bursts with much greater frequency.
With the immense extra power provided by a ZPM, Hive Ships are capable of growing a far larger, incredibly powerful version of the standard energy weapon. These blasts are powerful enough to deplete the Asgard shielding on a Daedalus-class vessel with ten consecutive shots. Their power is so awesome that they are capable of actually depleting the shields on an Ancient City-Ship, something which is virtually unheard-of. Since the Asgard and the Ancients possess the most powerful shielding and weaponry by far, this is truly remarkable.
