Background: When I was young I swore off energy weapons. I committed myself to only using hand-to-hand combat styles. I trained long and hard to perfect these combat styles. I strengthened my body, I fought wild animals, I trained against my fellow Hunters, and I would do anything to toughen my body. As I grew I believed that the only true honorable Trophy was attained with one's own bare hands, not with energy weapons. I willingly chose to take the Trial of the Blooded without weapons of any kind. After I succeeded and became a Young Blood I continued with my studies of combat forms, so as to better succeed in The Hunt. I have since gone on many solo and group hunts. I am also now fully Blooded.
During one Hunt of a Xenomorph, several Hunters and I came upon a Human. There was something odd about this Human. The Human was in our way, so the rest of the Hunters went to cut him down. The odd Human pulled a strange weapon and fought back. Normally Humans cannot stand toe to toe with a Hunter, let alone several. This Human not only held his ground, but he defeated my fellow Hunters. After the fight was finished, we locked eyes, and he turned and ran. Being the Hunter that I am, I gave chase. This Human was quite skilled in attempting to elude me. Eventually I caught up to the Human. I was more curious about his fighting techniques than about claiming him as a Trophy. One thing led to another and after a long stand-off we began to communicate. After a lot of time had passed he explained that he was a Jedi. I didn't know what a Jedi was, so he explained as best he could who and what they were. He claimed that I was somehow different than the others. After much debate he offered to train me to be just like him. I reluctantly accepted.
From that day forth began my studies of the Jedi ways. I had showed great natural aptitude in hand held weaponry and even greater skill in unarmed combat. For 60 years I trained off and on with this Human Jedi for I had my own peoples' duties to attend. Now his Jedi looked old when I met him and I did not think Humans lived very long, roughly one tenth the length of my own people. But time did not seem to touch this Human Jedi.
During our last training mission we were ambushed. We were separated, as I was hunting down dinner and he was back at camp meditating. I had nothing but my spear and my knife. They had Light Sabers. The battle between the 6 of us lasted mere seconds. They sorely underestimated me, my skills and my Jedi powers. Having defeated the enemy Jedi I went in search of my Human Jedi. All I found were a few scattered remains, no bodies. I searched as best as I could for the Human Jedi. I found no clues to what happened to him. I also searched for who sent the enemy Jedi against me. I found clues but they would lead me to a far off place.
I had spent a lot of time training with the Human Jedi. So long that I had begun neglecting my other duties as a Yautja and as a Hunter. So for a time I returned to my people and attempted to be a normal Hunter again. And for a time I was content. As a Hunter I gained renown and I took few of the rewards that normally go with it. No longer did Hunting Trophies satisfy my desires. I wanted to learn more about the Force. I had to find answers to my questions, to find those that destroyed my Human Jedi teacher.
So when the time was right, I left in search if answers. I followed the clues to find the enemy Jedi. It was a very long journey, but I found them. They were on a planet covered in junk. I stalked them, listened to their conversations. I learned who they were. They were a different kind of Jedi; they called themselves the Shadow Dragons. They wanted to purify the galaxy of all non-Human Jedi. My human Jedi friend appeared to have once been one of them but I learned that he left their order and took many Holocrons full of ancient Jedi knowledge. I was unable to find out where they had taken him as they did not reveal it in their many discussions.
The day came that I felt I had gained all the knowledge I could from stalking my prey. I beat them down hard. I destroyed their small academy. I removed all trace of them from this junk world.
Having finished my business on this planet, I returned to my ship. Only my ship's stealth cloak had at some point failed, possibly because a ship had dumped a lot of garbage on it. I was unable to find the truth of the matter. Most of my ship had been taken apart and removed to somewhere else. I liked that ship. I was able to scavenge a few items. Sadly my prized Trophies had been either taken or destroyed. I was able to steal a junk ship and fly out of there. Unfortunately I don’t know this area that well. I instructed the ship to take me to its previous destination.
When I arrived I first thought that I had come upon another junk world. I wondered if there was anything left of civilization in this galaxy. Eventually I came to learn that this world was not completely covered in junk, but was in fact covered in structures. I cannot recall the name of this world as I was too awestruck but the immensity of it all. I managed to land the ship and just walked away from it. I had stole it and needed to acquire something less obviously stolen. Also, it seems that these Humans don’t like ships with weapons very much.
It wasn’t long before I grew uncomfortable here. I traded a few minor trinkets for passage to another world. During the journey our ship was attacked and boarded. Apparently they were after me. They drew Light Sabers, and while I had one, I still preferred my bare hands. This gave me an advantage early on as they expected Light Sabers to be met with a Light Saber in kind. During our contest, they fought wildly and without form, striking chaotically and seemingly at random. I defeated 4 of them before the ship was critically damaged by their chaotic strikes. The attackers fled while I was stuck on a failing ship in orbit around the moon of the seventh planet.
I alone survived the crash. I was alone for a long time before a being calling himself Nikkos arrived. He was a Jedi of some type. He was looking to create followers of his own style of Force users. I studied with him and soon his followers often over the course of several years. I was not present during his death as I was trying to steal a ship that had landed and not been destroyed or severely damaged. I guess it was my fate to steal aboard of the ships that carried people that came to kill Nikkos. While I did not fully agree with the manner in which he was teaching others to be a Jedi, I did understand why he was doing it.
I left that world hidden in a ship full of Jedi. I fully expected to be discovered. Oddly I was not found by the Jedi. Maybe it's because I realized that I was taught by an evil Jedi that had fallen away from his own order, or maybe it was the fact that every Jedi type I had encountered had some kind of ulterior motive. Or maybe they realized that I was a Force user that was trying to escape the planet. I do not know. It didn’t really matter as I jumped ship as soon as they docked. And they seemed to have their attentions more focused on some kind of galactic war that was going on.
It was at this station that my trusted stealth field generator finally failed. I accidentally got caught in the middle of some kind of fire fight. I was shot many times by their weapons, but my armor absorbed it easily. However, the several hits to my stealth field generator did not go so nicely. My Hunter instincts took over and before I knew it, I had several new and freshly cleaned Trophies on my belt. During my time at the station, it had gained a new form of administration. Something called the Galactic Empire had taken over control of the station. Apparently they weren't too pleased with me and my Hunter ways. So I booked passage off the station on a small bulk freighter.
I had a calm yet strange feeling about the crew of the ship I was on. Their gunner seemed as alien in this galaxy as I was, but seemed more knowledgeable about everything. The kid with seven fingered hands I knew to be a Jedi type, but he seemed more like me, in that he wanted to learn more but wasn’t fully accepted by other Jedi also he disdained the use of Light Sabers but loved using energy weapons. He was also just a bit too mischievous.
Somehow I managed to stay on the ship and become part of its regular crew. While I am in fact significantly older than the rest of the crew we are all about the same age mentally, roughly, so it kind of works out. They seem to want to help save the few remaining Jedi in this galaxy. Apparently the Galactic Empire is run by some very bad Jedi and this Empire cannot stand to have other Jedi types in the galaxy. And seeing as how I am a Jedi type stuck in this galaxy the Empire and I became fast enemies.
Since I became part of the crew of this ship, we have wandered about doing pretty much whatever we want. They don’t seem to understand the Hunt or my desire for more Trophies. As such any Hunts I have gone on I have gone alone. But I now have a place to display my Trophies that feels secure enough and it’s a home for now…

If Dr Bergstrom is correct on her theory, this could be because this is what the atmosphere was like on Earth millions of years ago. For every 10 minutes for which a Yautja goes without using a breather, their strength reduces by 1 pip. Spending 10 rounds on a breather will return 1 point lost.
